Psychological stress
For many people, stress is part of everyday life.
The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work estimates that 40 million people in the European Union are affected by stress.
According to the European Union's own figures, absenteeism and illness cost the EU at least 20 billion euros per year and 50 to 60% of absenteeism is related to stress at the workplace.
